Bu yıl 96. kez dağıtılan Akademi Ödülleri bir diğer adıyla Oscar Ödülleri için kazananlar belli oldu. Christopher Nolan, “Oppenheimer” filmi ile ‘En İyi Film’ ve ‘En İyi Yönetmen’ ödüllerinin sahibi oldu. “Killers of the Flower Moon” geceden eli boş ayrılırken “Poor Things” ise ‘En İyi Kadın Oyuncu’, ‘En İyi Kostüm’ ve ‘En İyi Yapım Tasarımı’ ödüllerini kucakladı. Böylece Emma Stone ikinci kez ‘En İyi Kadın Oyuncu’ Oscar Ödülünü kazanmış oldu.

Törenin sunuculuğunu üstlenen Jimmy Kimmel, daha önce 3 kez bu görevde bulunmuştu. Ayrıca Ryan Gosling‘in ‘I’m Just Ken’ performansı ile “Anatomy of a Fall” filminde izlediğimiz köpek Messi geceye damga vurdu.
